Jets - Stars.

Post by bud white »

Frankly, I was leery of the Blues should they get past the Jets. Rantanan owns Binner.

Turns out, Rantanan owns everyone right now. Talk about being on a heater! Can he keep this up? Just insane.

Regarding the game itself, I was happy to read that I wasn't the only one who felt that it just had a feeling of a throwaway game in December. It certainly didn't feel like a 2nd Round Stanley Cup playoff game. Found myself dozing off a few times, in fact.

Feels like the year of an all Canadian Final to me. Toronto vs Edmonton. Probably just jinxed both teams but would love to see it.

I think that first round took a lot out of both of them.

With as intense as those series were not surprising to see game 1 be a massive letdown.

I think Dallas kicks Winnipeg to the curb in 6 max.

Edmontons downfall will always be its goaltending.

Calvin Pickard is not likely a goaler who is taking you to the promised land, and Skinner was getting absolutely nuked before he got injured.

If you think Rantanen has been great so far, wait until the conference final if he gets to shoot on one of those Edmonton goalies!

He'll be unstoppable.

Of course Edmonton has to get past Vegas first.

I don't know with all the scoring up front Edmonton possesses that it will be such an issue this time around. The return of Evander Kane helps there also. We'll see what happens.

eventually the scoring slows down that's why defense always wins

Tall order but whoever knocks Vegas out is my own personal Stanley Cup Champion.

Yeah, every year they lose is a mini celebration along with the Avs and the LA Rams.

Greetings The JB!
Don’t look now, but Pickard has got hot and is looking quite good. Made some great saves tonight in Game 2 in Vegas.

You never know about goalies. Sometimes, even lesser ones get on a roll in the playoffs.

I do agree with you on Skinner, though. He’s just not the goalie you’d want in the playoffs at all. The Lubricators got lucky he was injured allowing Pickard to step up capably so far.

Cheers

The Jets will not have the ability to come back on the Stars, their Defense is better than the Blues and they can hold on to a lead. If they loose today their season is over. Even if they do get past the Stars, I don't see that happening, the Oil/Vegas will dispose of them.
