Do you have photos of Ben Cherington, the Pirates GM, on Epstein island? If so, there is a chance he makes this trade…

Can the Pirates afford him, long term?Adam2 wrote: ↑07 May 2025 11:42 amOk, would the Pirates trade the Rookie of the Year Winner with the best stuff in the game, and the heir apparent as the next top pitcher in the game of baseball for 2 ex first rounders who after multiple years of opportunities have shown that they barely even belong in the major leagues?
How hard do you think the pirates would laugh if the cardinals proposed them that trade?

Shady I have tried to come to your defense many times as you often get bashed by the CT Bully Patrol. I will continue to do so, but dude I have to tell you that you have it coming with this thread. You are WAY WAY off on this one. Be better man!

Please try to decipher that I didn't propose this trade. I just threw it out there. Thanks for being a respectful CT poster.Jatalk wrote: ↑07 May 2025 12:43 pm An open post to Shady:

What the heck is the difference?
Re: Would the Pirates trade Skenes for both Walker and Gorman?
Seriously ? Think about it a little. I presented two questions. Not something like, "the Cardinals should offer Walker and Gorman for Skenes".Futuregm2 wrote: ↑07 May 2025 14:19 pmShady wrote: ↑07 May 2025 14:10 pmPlease try to decipher that I didn't propose this trade. Think I’ll just throw out trading Luken Baker for Jackson Merrill. Not MY idea, it’s just AN idea.Futuregm2 wrote: ↑07 May 2025 14:19 pmShady wrote: ↑07 May 2025 14:10 pmPlease try to decipher that I didn't propose this trade. I just threw it out there. Um this is kinda the opposite of how that joke is supposed to go lol. The person saying the "outlandish" stuff is supposedly the one with the good stuff and you ask them for what they are smoking and........ah nevermind lol just a jokesikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑07 May 2025 10:20 amAll right man. Re: Would the Pirates trade Skenes for both Walker and Gorman?
the fact you even proposed this as a hypothetical IS THE PROBLEM. It shows your drastic lack of baseball acumen and knowledge. If you threw out a trade that even 1 GM in the history of major league baseball would consider for more than 1.5 seconds sure, maybe make a thread about it. but not 1 GM in the history of the sport would look at this trade and not laugh at youShady wrote: ↑07 May 2025 14:33 pmSeriously ? It may not be that many years, depending on how the Pirates play it. It seems a near certainty he’ll be super 2 arb eligible, meaning his arb years would kick in next year.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑07 May 2025 12:07 pmOf course not. They will trade him in due time to avoid a total loss. Years away.
I wouldn’t be shocked if they trade him before the ‘28 season.
Re: Would the Pirates trade Skenes for both Walker and Gorman?
Whatever. But not too long ago Walker and Gorman were two of the hottest prospects in baseball. And Pittsburgh needs position players. Also, they will not likely be able to keep Skenes. If somebody is open-minded, this may not be as far-fetched as some may think. Considering the long term implications. Check out Quincy Varnish's post.Adam2 wrote: ↑07 May 2025 14:45 pmthe fact you even proposed this as a hypothetical IS THE PROBLEM. It shows your drastic lack of baseball acumen and knowledge. Re: Would the Pirates trade Skenes for both Walker and Gorman?
I did see his post. If they did trade him it would be for a fair package. Your package is like trading Ken Griffey Jr. in his second year (like Skenes) for under performing first round picks in Griffey's second year (1990) Erick Christopherson and Lance DicksonShady wrote: ↑07 May 2025 14:57 pmWhatever.
