Some players doing fine, and the team just cracking .500 isn't exciting at all.Cranny wrote: ↑06 May 2025 09:29 amAdam2 wrote: ↑06 May 2025 09:19 amToo bad the fans have had to watch several years of sub-par players, on field management, and front office intelligenceCranny wrote: ↑06 May 2025 08:40 amToo bad the existing players have to play with less support from the stands.Adam2 wrote: ↑06 May 2025 08:24 am It's just sad, i watched the box series of the 2011 world series recently and Busch stadium was like a different planet compared to what it is now. Actually, some players have done fine. Didn't the Cards have a winning season in 2024?

Earlier this season you gave your usual reasons:Cranny wrote: ↑06 May 2025 09:16 amBecause there were no shiny new toys secured over the off season. Or changes made in the front or with the manager. But again, the existing players are really playing well at home and it's too bad more fans aren't there to cheer them on. It's not their fault.Goldfan wrote: ↑06 May 2025 08:57 amWhy do you think Fans aren’t showing up to Busch?Cranny wrote: ↑06 May 2025 08:40 amToo bad the existing players have to play with less support from the stands.Adam2 wrote: ↑06 May 2025 08:24 am It's just sad, i watched the box series of the 2011 world series recently and Busch stadium was like a different planet compared to what it is now. “School night”
“Cool weather”
“People aren’t vacationing yet”
I believe the biggest reason is that many fans are tired of lining DeWitt’s wallet with their hard-earned money.
Re: Wow, the number of empty seats are incredible
That's the real problem...people would stay to watch Big Mac or Albert bat, even if the team sucked...but DeTwit and Mo-ran have made it clear, they are not trying to win a championship...and many fans are staying home.OldRed wrote: ↑06 May 2025 09:30 amName one "star" player on this team that people would pay to go see play.Cranny wrote: ↑06 May 2025 09:29 amAdam2 wrote: ↑06 May 2025 09:19 amToo bad the fans have had to watch several years of sub-par players, on field management, and front office intelligenceCranny wrote: ↑06 May 2025 08:40 amToo bad the existing players have to play with less support from the stands.Adam2 wrote: ↑06 May 2025 08:24 am It's just sad, i watched the box series of the 2011 world series recently and Busch stadium was like a different planet compared to what it is now. Winning is of course at the top of the list. But watching guys like Donovan, Winn, Scott, Helsley, Contreras, etc. can sure be fun.

Use Tick Pick there are no feesggnoobs wrote: ↑06 May 2025 00:17 am I would go to games but the ticket prices went crazy the last few years. Used to be able to get tickets for a few bucks each off StubHub, but now they're rarely very cheap and the fees are crazy. I was going to buy some tickets a couple weeks ago for $17 each in a section I liked, but when I went to check out they wanted $14 per ticket in fees, it was crazy.

Re: Wow, the number of empty seats are incredible
So that's the standard now, 83 wins?
I remember when BDWJr did everything he could to bring in all star caliber players and staff the front office w/a winner (Walt) and a Hall of fame Manager (TLR) and shot for World Series titles.
And those "shiny things" you mock are called quality players.
Too bad Dewitt is too cheap to bring them in anymore.

Re: Wow, the number of empty seats are incredible
Dont they just bake their fees into the price you see? Not added at a checkout, but still have fees?27smith wrote: ↑06 May 2025 10:56 amUse Tick Pick there are no feesggnoobs wrote: ↑06 May 2025 00:17 am I would go to games but the ticket prices went crazy the last few years. Re: Wow, the number of empty seats are incredible
Apparently fans are supposed to be content with a team that won 83 games last year?... players on this roster aren't going to fill the stands...
