Will the bully hold this game?

Gorman has 2 option years left. Walker only has 1 since we added him to 40man to make opening day roster so prematurely only to have to send him downscoutyjones2 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:29 pmIf they have time left still, to go back down...you send them down, unless someone wants to trade for them or in a packagerockondlouie wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:28 pmWith each pass game (and failure) Gorman (and Walker) slip closer and close to "bust" territory.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:26 pmIt’s getting bad. Wrong on Noot..........really wrong on his UniKKKorn![]()
I wonder if C. Bloom in 2026 will try to re-habilitate them or just cut the cord and move on?

But maybe it would under Bloom/Cerfolio and I believe 100% they'll bring in their own new blood both down below and here in St. Louis!Futuregm2 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:33 pmSending them to AAA hasn’t helped him. So unless they bring in a new AAA coaching staff, I don’t see it doing much good. And it would be the final option so that kills any value he might have imo.rockondlouie wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:32 pmAgreedscoutyjones2 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:29 pmIf they have time left still, to go back down...you send them down, unless someone wants to trade for them or in a packagerockondlouie wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:28 pmWith each pass game (and failure) Gorman (and Walker) slip closer and close to "bust" territory.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:26 pmIt’s getting bad. Let them have some time at Memphis under the new regime, see if they can fix them.
Unless, as you said, some team comes calling w/a solid offer.

I don’t mind Barrero but would rather see Saggese getting those AB’s
Re: GDT : Cards vs. Mets (5/4) ~ Game 1 ~ 12:15pm CDT
So why with a 3 run lead didn't the Cards have Scott II attempt to steal 2nd in the entire Barrero at bat ?
If Barerro makes an out , you have Noot coming to bat with Victor on 2nd .. a single scores Scott 95% of the time.
It didn't come to fruition with Noot's fly ball out but it would have looked stupid to me to have Noot getting a base hit and Scott doesn't score a run for the Cards. It was time to play aggressive and add more insurance.

We ran too much in the 80s and feel poorly about it.ramfandan wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:40 pm So why with a 3 run lead didn't the Cards have Scott II attempt to steal 2nd in the entire Barrero at bat ?

Barrero is a better bench player and offers value at more positions defensively --- Saggese may still be part of the future so if you bring him up he needs to play more often than Barrero has.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:36 pm I don’t mind Barrero but would rather see Saggese getting those AB’s

Scott has been on base 3 times today, hasn’t tried a steal yet! When he has reached Chip always says, “ Let’s see if Scott wants to run here”. Of course he does! Oli won’t let him!

I'm the last guy to defend Oli but perhaps Scott just couldn't get a read or didn't feel "right". Never know when a guy who plays everyday is nursing something.ramfandan wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:40 pm So why with a 3 run lead didn't the Cards have Scott II attempt to steal 2nd in the entire Barrero at bat ?

one perfect strike to leadof hitter was called a ball by Wolfe.
that didn't help

...A leadoff walk to the Mets in the 8th makes 7 so far in the game... Cards playing with fire here with McNeil batting...

The guy was quick to the plate and he might not have a good read...Oli has let Argo steal when he wants. He's done it all season.11WSChamps wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:43 pmI'm the last guy to defend Oli but perhaps Scott just couldn't get a read or didn't feel "right".
