Where did this come from from leahy. 2 years ago, leahy looked like dfa fodder. He was never even particularly good in the minors at any level.

I don't deny that but there have been some injuries.

I am stating what would seem logical as they don't really cost anything

Sending them to AAA hasn’t helped him. So unless they bring in a new AAA coaching staff, I don’t see it doing much good. And it would be the final option so that kills any value he might have imo.

And among 69 right-handed relievers who have faced at least 24 left-handed hitters this season, Leahy ranks second in limiting those LH bats to an .053 average. And when Leahy took on right-handed hitters in the opening month he had an 32.5 percent strikeout rate
