Gorman looks lost and Walker isn't far behind at the plate and isn't even playing every day.
What are we doing with these guys?

It’s getting bad. Almost to the point whatever Mehl says do the opposite.rockondlouie wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:25 pmPoor old Mel-vinscoutyjones2 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:22 pm LoL... UniKKKorn

Playing them for at least 60 games to see what they got. They stated this to begin the year they needed to know what they have/don't have...11WSChamps wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:24 pm Gorman looks lost and Walker isn't far behind at the plate and isn't even playing every day.

With each pass game (and failure) Gorman (and Walker) slip closer and closer to "bust" territory.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:26 pmIt’s getting bad. I wonder if C. Bloom in 2026 will try to re-habilitate them or just cut the cord and move on?

If they have time left still, to go back down...you send them down, unless someone wants to trade for them or in a packagerockondlouie wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:28 pmWith each pass game (and failure) Gorman (and Walker) slip closer and close to "bust" territory.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:26 pmIt’s getting bad. I’m about to get some hate…
But I smell a Romero/Helsley meltdown.

Where did this come from from leahy. 2 years ago, leahy looked like dfa fodder. He was never even particularly good in the minors at any level.

The point is you never see anything sustained.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:27 pmPlaying them for at least 60 games to see what they got. Gorman in particular nearly 1300 PA's.

Let them have some time at Memphis under the new regime, see if they can fix them.
Unless, as you said, some team comes calling w/a solid offer.

I don't deny that but there have been some injuries.11WSChamps wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:31 pmThe point is you never see anything sustained.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:27 pmPlaying them for at least 60 games to see what they got. I am stating what would seem logical as they don't really cost anything

Sending them to AAA hasn’t helped him. So unless they bring in a new AAA coaching staff, I don’t see it doing much good. And it would be the final option so that kills any value he might have imo.rockondlouie wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:32 pmAgreedscoutyjones2 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:29 pmIf they have time left still, to go back down...you send them down, unless someone wants to trade for them or in a packagerockondlouie wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:28 pmWith each pass game (and failure) Gorman (and Walker) slip closer and close to "bust" territory.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:26 pmIt’s getting bad. From Bernie:
Among 52 major-league relievers with at least 15 innings pitched this season, Leahy ranks 12th with a 1.47 ERA, first in opponent batting average (.086), third in opponent onbase percentage (.077), and sixth in opponent slugging percentage (.207.)
And among 69 right-handed relievers who have faced at least 24 left-handed hitters this season, Leahy ranks second in limiting those LH bats to an .053 average. And when Leahy took on right-handed hitters in the opening month he had an 32.5 percent strikeout rate
