He says he'll be there. Hopefully they get him to do the pre-game hype.

The only Jon Gruden I know of is the longtime former Raiders coach and "Monday Night Football" commentator.

What is the connection between Gruden and St. Louis, and especially with the Blues?

so Jon Hamm, who grew up in STL, has remained a Blues fan from day 1. Makes sure to talk about all the things he likes about the city of STL, gets upended for Gruden? I love that Gruden IS jumping on the bandwagon. But it's clear its barstool tapping into a market they don't have one of their faces on. I'm all for it. The more national media the better. STL is too often overlooked. I just think that the guy that should get the crowd rolling at the beginning of the game should have some sort of tie to the city or team. Maroon was on point. "I think 12 was too early to drink a beer but I had to chug it to get the fans going."

I have a feeling he has some sort of connection with Monty or someone thru the coaching world. But the Blues PR team sent him a box of stuff including blues skates helmet gloves jersey and a jersey signed by Binner. So they went all out to get him kitted up, and he returned the favor with a 3 minute post to try and hype up the fans/boys.

I'll amend my previous position TBone. If he gets on the MIC and says F the way the NFL treated you and F Roger Goodell. Then I'm all in. Double points if somehow the 2nd round is Blues vs Avs and he gets on the MIC and says F Stan Kroenke.

Apparently Gruden does a segment on Some barstool sports thing where he gets a box of swag from teams and opens it up. Someone from the Blues sent him some stuff that included an autographed Binnington sweater. He opens it and it's supposed to be pretty funny. I haven't watched it but it was mentioned on a podcast I heard from somewhere. I need to see it because it supposed to be pretty entertaining.
