In years past the Cards would have been in play for Tucker and Hopefully signed him. The perfect young OF All-star this club needs.
Theres really no reason why the Cubs made the trade and not Cards. With Goldy contract falling off and moving NA this would’ve been a step to the future with 28 yr of Tucker with no great financial strain. Walker is never going to be this guy.
$$$

He’s gonna get a number that makes DeWitt curl up into the fetal position.
Which is basically anything north of 150 million
And Tucker will get twice that much in a long term deal. I believe he is 28 yo. Astro's fans gotta be sick about his and Bregman's starts.
lol no kidding a certain trashstros troll always says no one wants to play for the cardinals when all the cardinals players with no trade clauses refused to waive them including Arenado who refused to waive his to go to the trashstros and meanwhile the trashstros have lost springer Bregman and Tucker because they don’t want to sign extensions with them
The issue in H is the length of contract….not the money

The Stros consistently have one of the larger payrolls in baseball….but these guys…springer, Correa, Tucker… wanted 8-10 years…..? C ya later

Not going to happen……….the policy is 6 years max……they don’t want to be burdened with some 38-40 year old unproductive player making huge money ..

They offered Bregman five years per the policy….he turned it down…the club moved on quickly

There …..now you are not as uninformed as you were

You’re welcome…

What an idiot you are so if free agents don’t sign with there cardinals it’s not because of cardinals don’t like the dollar amount or length of contract it’s nobody wants to play in St. Louis but if they don’t want to sign With Astros then it’s length of contract lol you’re a real clown and not a very interesting troll. Arenado didn’t even want to leave the cardinals to go to the trashstros no one wants to play there

Curious what you would have offered Houston?
Cranny continuously tells me the Cards Minor League Pitching is Ranked #3
Not sure how that answered the question. Not asking about the depth of our system. Just curious what package you would offer.

I don’t know Cards prospect land well enough to speak to this. It’s mostly all smoke and mirrors anyway……I’m sure there are players with the appropriate ranking to be dealt if thats what the Astros wanted. What do any of those rankings actually mean anyway. Very few from any org pan out how they should have……our Walker was highly ranked. If he were requested in return would anyone have a problem with that??

Good point. I think we are plenty informed of the (donkey)-Hoes 5 year policy. Correa, I understand not budging. Bregman, okay. But for Tucker I would have broken the rule.

In today’s game Tucker is a true superstar. Someone asked who I would’ve traded …….starting with Walker anyone else they wanted.
But No, this hand the Mississippi Mud organization doesn’t have a creative bone in their body. They will stick with JAGS for years only to proven wrong in their assessments time after time after time.
