Would Cards consider trading Winn?

Not due to Saggese, at least IMO.
JJ, others maybe.
It'd be a large chip.
No way I would trade Winn. I could see a JJ/3b; Winn; Saggese; Herera infield 2 years from now.
And Hurdy Gurdy stays in the OF? All LH hitting OF?

nobody has any JJ update. No worries about chronic Hamstring issues?
Not advocating a Winn trade. Nor a Donovan trade. No need at this time,
yet, Donovan will get less infield time IF the plans with players work out.
He's also due to start doubling his pay especially with .900 OPS's
Will the FO pay for his profile, commit a position to him?

I think the only way I'd send Saggese down is if it was to increase his versatility...i.e: learn to use an outfield glove.

He's here. He's ready. Let him play. Baker, Siani, Burly are those who I'd send down. Probably in that order.

From what we see from most of the roster...hell yes. Hurdy is crushing it and, for now, seems the most consistent offensively and solid defensively

I'd pay him $6/year for 3-5 years

You're correct.
I want a moderate paid vet or two on the roster, period.
IMO the tank and rebuild teams fail in identifying this.
The big spenders do, but usually in filling a hole that opens up.
It's the reason for me wanting TE, which by the way will
be closer to what BD is looking for IMO, as long as the attributes
you mention continue. $8-$12/yr.

Had that been him making that throw to 1st base last night at 95 MPH instead of Donny's weaker throw, then Riley would've been out instead of safe after replay and wouldn't have scored the tying run.

Winn's bazooka would've nailed him.
I think Saggese would have thrown him out also. JMO

Baker and Burly trade or Memphis do not care. Fernandez - why is he on the team?? Romero is regressing so Matz needs to return to BP.

Saggesse and Donovan share 2B. Donovan and Noots share LF. Noots is not providing as much to make the top of the order a threat. IF WC starts hitting having the leadoff hitter on base would go miles in making this offense with minimal free outs. Gorman can DH forever as long as he does not play on the field more than 10%.
