Wow..... Just wow...
Re: GDT: Cards @ Pirates (4/9) ~ 11:35am CDT
Isn't there a rule about blocking the base path?

PAY YOUR $50 FOR YOUR TICKET, SAGESSE, Y FN MORON!
Still should be runner interference but they'll never call it.

He’s no Saquon Barkley
Re: GDT: Cards @ Pirates (4/9) ~ 11:35am CDT
sagesse can't argue his path was blocked? and why did he stop? You can't touch the ball but you can run into a fielder and advance.
Re: GDT: Cards @ Pirates (4/9) ~ 11:35am CDT
That was just plain bad luck

Shortest distance between two points is a straight line, Saggesse should've just dove over the pile up and he'd have been safe instead of stutter stepping and arcing around them.

How long before moving Contreras down in the order? August? July?
Re: GDT: Cards @ Pirates (4/9) ~ 11:35am CDT
Exactly how is that not interference?Futuregm2 wrote: ↑09 Apr 2025 13:26 pmThat’s what I was thinkingSTL Cardinal Fan 24 wrote: ↑09 Apr 2025 13:26 pm If Saggesee runs into that scrum, we get an interference call, no?
I know it’s unintentional but blocking the baseline?
Challenge????
BTW:
Can anyone on this team run the bases properly?
And....Contreras sucks. Please please please drop him to 6th.
One man rally killer.

Exactly, wth are you stopping?!?!? You're not a rubbernecking driver who just witnessed a collision. You have one f'n goal, one thing you have to do, run to the plate and f'n touch it. Anything that happens while you're doing it doesn't matter, you don't stop and think about it, you just go and avoid.

Why didn’t oli challenge it? Even the announcers thought he was

This isn't remotely close to accurate. If he made contact with the fielder while they're trying to field the ball, it's runner interference and he's called out. The play from him here, is to get home while avoiding contact, instead of just prancing around panicking. Go around, jump over, anything would have been better than what he did outside of running into the fielder.

This ump must have some place to go. His strikezone is a mile wide.
