Calgary and Minnesota play each other once more…let’s just hope for no OT.

I posted this on another thread as it happened. So disappointed to see the Calgary comeback. Was rooting for U of Houston on BB too.
Very disappointing sports night and “it ain’t over til it’s over”as Yogi Berra used to say , so Blues not in any playoffs til the mathematics say so

Edmonton lost last night
With injury, they are beatable but will need to find put offense again

We play Oilers next while Wild and Flames get Sharks and Ducks respectively. Could get very interesting, not in a good way

Actually, it'll keep the Blues sharp so the flip has to stay switched on. I will say, it's beyond obnoxious that after the longest winning streak in franchise history, we're only 6 points ahead of a team with 2 games in hand.

I probably hate the Flames more than any team in hockey simply because of Kadri. Losing Holloway hurts. Really need Snuggs to step up which is asking way too much of the kid. lol

The way I look at it, 93 is good to get you in about 50 percent of the time. 95 is good to get you in 97 percent. If the Blues win 1 more and don't get in, they will only be the 4th team in history to not get in. 93 Should be good enough to get in, if it isn't then we are also a statistical outlier.

I appreciate this post a lot. The Calgary-Minnesota game Friday helps us out a ton here.

Blues finishing 1-1-1 with a regulation win gives Calgary a single path to surpass Blues: running the table with any type of wins. Then Minnesota would have to get 5 points in 4 games while losing to Calgary also. They could; they play San Jose, Vancouver and Anaheim for their other games.

But suppose the Blues win two shootouts and have a regulation loss. Calgary can only get in front of the Blues with a regulation win over Minnesota, then Minnesota has to go 3-0 in its other three games and Calgary also has to go 5-0 ALL in regulation.

I know the Blues had a hell of a win streak but they need to win 2 out of the next 3. I assume Calgary will lose one game for sure but you never know. I’d love to see the Blues win tomorrow night.
