Re: Faulk again….Get him off the ice

Re: Faulk again….Get him off the ice

Bad night? lol
If you go back and look at the posts from every game, about 2/3's of them have threads about Faulk and his turnovers costing us goals.
I will say, though, he wasn't the only dman that cost us tonight. Leddy blowing his 20th tire of the season let them back into the game.
Faulk plays fine 90% of the time. It's the 10% where he seems to cost us every night.
Re: Faulk again….Get him off the ice
Why can’t the Blues ever pin it against the boards to run out the laser seconds instead of throwing it up the boards to the opponent?
Re: Faulk again….Get him off the ice
He was in front, covering his man and it happened to hit him. Get off the guy’s back, geez. I’ll give you some of the others but that’s not his fault.

Re: Faulk again….Get him off the ice
I have no issue with a puck deflecting in off Faulk but I am wondering why they keep leaving him on the ice for close to 2 mins at the end of games when they don’t have to.

This. He’s made some boneheaded end of game plays. The Vancouver game during the streak for example. The goal that started this thread was a dumb luck bounce/deflection on a play that Faulk was doing nothing wrong.

He can be frustrating with his lazy passes and broken sticks, but the deflection could have happened to anyone. If you noticed, Monty had him right back out there to finish the game. They must see something they like in his game. He works his tail off.

Man guys, are we just looking for the next whipping boy since Krug isn't playing? Team is playing quite well I think, and you haven't lost any money in the stock market until you sell. Chins up fellas-this team is on a scorcher and Justin Faulk is not going to be a problem. They are doing this without arguably 2 of their top 5 players, and Jimmy Snuggs is getting ready to take off too. Kid is going to be a player-skating doesn't seem to be much of a concern.

I think the effects of Parayko being out have been limited quite well to be honest.

Agree on Leddy.
I've played defense for 40+ years. It's hard to never have a bad play in your own end in a game. I like Faulk a lot; but when I watch I constantly think - don't give it up in your own zone. He did several times. Not the end of the world.

Whipping boy's receive critique when it's undeserved. Faulk is earning every lambasting he receives. There's a reason he has the worst +/- on the team and is the only defensemen with a negative rating.Lets_Clinch wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025 23:10 pm Man guys, are we just looking for the next whipping boy since Krug isn't playing? I'd like nothing more than to see Faulk go on one of his tears he frequently enjoyed before the last couple years. He was a beast at times. He's just not that guy anymore. His mindset seems to focus on trying not to make mistakes. Need the aggressive Faulk back.
Being said, agreed, kind of nitpicking when team is on longest winning streak in history. lol Just hope Parayko returns soon and Faulk's role is decreased come playoff time.
