Ty Rodgers

Rodgers has announced he will be returning to play for the Illini for next season. He redshirted for the 24/25 season. The 6'6" guard/forward will be a junior next season. He should be a big contributor for Illinois in the next two years.

If you would've ask me to bet after Ty announced his redshirt on him or Morez returning for next season, I would've lost a ton of money betting on Morez. Really glad to see Ty come back. Him and Boswell are going to provide some great leadership. Not sure what his role will be. If the transfers we are after fall the way we hope, then Ty is likely a guy coming off the bench. What helps is you've got a guy like Ivisic that can shoot, so it doesn't hurt as bad having a non-shooter like Ty on the floor.
