Pages is going to catch 1 of every 3 or 4 games regardless. I understand Herrera is swinging it well but catcher being the physically demanding position it is good to keep him fresh. Plus you have LH pitchers coming up so he could easily DH a game.
Gorman needs to play his share. RH SP ok to sit Walker for a game.
Of the 4 reserves who haven’t started first two:
Pages- needs to start every 3rd or 4th game.
Gorman- needs to play also.
The other two supply either late game defense(Siani) or a RH PH bat(Baker).
TLR was a master of incorporating his bench.
Oli has a long ways to go but it‘s a start.
Baker will start vs lefty tomorrow with burkeson sutting i assume. Baker will be strictly a platoon with burkeson(and maybe pinch hitter)

Id disagree strongly on oli being mr nice guy. He is very pretentious and condescending to the media and constantly throws players under the bus like oneil, gorman and arenado(saying doesnt matter how he arramges lineup and that our offensive struggles last year was cuz those 2 werent hitting the way they should in response to question about his lineup), and of course contreras.

Definitely dont agree on oli being mr. Nice guy. He seems tony larussa seem like the friendliest guy in the room and has no pr skills. Mo looks like a masterclass answering question compared to him. He sounds less dumb than bill dewitt the 3rd but is almost as bad in interviews as dewitt 3 in his own way just by how pretentious and condescending he is

I’m talking strategy and enforcing roles. He seems to want to keep players happy verse play what’s hot. One big deal for leaders is to put people in positions to excel. Playing a hot Herrera would qualify under that premise.

I have also never seen another manager pull cruising starters at such low putch counts as consistently as oli. He will try to squeeze 5 innings out of a struggling putcher with a high pitch count but will do stuff like pull fedde yesterday after 6 with pitch count of 73 like he hates letting starters pitch into the 7th unless he has no choice from taxed bullpen. He did it to gray a lot last year too.
It also seemed ti titally contradict what mo said about targeting lynn and gibsin because they were inning eaters to save pen but he wouldn't let starters eat inning when they had low pitch counts.
Makes even less sense to pull fedde early when we are going to a 6 man rotation that gives extra rest anyways

His downfall all started w/that stupid removal of "Q" in Game 1 vs the Phils when "Q" was cruising and had plenty left in the tank.

This lineup runs into the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” maxim.
I mean, we had 20 hits in the first two games. I understand you’re going to have to shake things up as things move on, but I really question taking Herrera out of the lineup right now.
