Screw that! I will take exciting end of the season and playoff hockey every time over a few spots higher in the draft as if thats all some sort of guarantee at a cup and there is no other way to get a ring.

It has just been mesmerizing watching this team play lately. Every game has been a playoff-like atmosphere for the Note-you can tell by the all out effort and celebrations that this team is very dedicated to one another-love it.

It's been a while since I've been that stressed out during a regular season game.

The boys played as good as could be expected, and now they get 2.5 days of rest so good for them.

Pros:

Most everyone gave all
They kept everything to the outside
You could see the Avs frustration
Bolduc continues to be fantastic
The WTF line is the new Sunny D, Steen, Barbashev line. It got to the point as Rivers pointed out Bednar didn't want Macs line out against them


Cons

Kyrou's worst game in quite while. Seemed he had no legs so I'd guess either the altitude got to him or he's fighting the flu
Too many turnovers. This has been a bit of an issue the past few games, it absolutely has to get cleaned up
Not much of a forecheck this game as they let the Avs control a good amount of play and really with their talent it's not that suprising

Hard to believe Bednar kept Macs line and Makar out there for the entire 2+ minutes they had the goalie pulled.

I think Kyrou has taking huge steps in his D awareness and willingness to back-check and even throw some hits this year.
In saying that I know the team is trying to build a contender and even as good as he plays sometimes I can’t help but think he just doesn’t get it sometimes and instead of making the simple plays he does some fancy stick handling and loses the puck. I also noticed almost every time the puck goes in a corner in the ozone and he has a chance to win a puck battle between the boards and player he stops and lets the other player gain possession, he then tries to get the puck back which most times doesn’t happen. Holloway every time goes for it and battles through that hit and comes out with the puck.
I won’t be shocked if Kyrou gets traded in a package this summer.
If not I hope he continues to develop the willingness to make the right hockey plays more consistently.
