The local Knights of Columbus and the Catholic church are having a huge fish fry from 5-7pm Thursday.
Catfish fillets, hush puppies, slaw, white beans, and fries.
$15 each - eat all you want.
I'll be heading there after the game.

Just for starters.

The old timers used to do this thread. Was really a neat thing. So I ask, what or would you prepare for opening day if you are or could.

Me- black coffee. Dr Pepper. The Good Stuff. Grilled burgers. CT GDT.

Anyone.
This I know will be boring, but water. It’s all I drink these days.

Going golfing :)

Probably a few beers on the course have some City Pilsner (previously parker pilsner) from 4 hands.

Right now course looks wide open and I'm golfing alone, couldnt be more excited.

Pork steaks - slathered in Competition KC sauce
Shiner Bock beer

Instead of creamed corn and green beans I'm having BBQ baked beans and lima beans.

And my wife brought home four Beard Papa cream puffs for dessert. IYKYK

Just pulled the cork on the Beaujolais. A Cardinal win and nice bottle of wine. Got a little wet on the course today, but life is good!

Now that the game is over, I was born and raised until 6th grade in an area between Mayfield and Murray. Have you gone to Paris, Tennessee on a Friday night in the summer? Fish Fries all over the place. Simply the best!

No, I havn't. I've been to Paris often, especially when I lived in Murray; but never caught one of the fish fries. Thanks for the heads up.
I'm up around the north end of Lake Barkley now. The Eddyville and Princeton area.

Learned to ski on Ken lake, near sportsman marina. Very close to Aurora and Benton. Been to Paris for beer.
