Ditto w/VSII who better be in CF on OD.
McG and VSII at Memphis would prove Mo/Oli have lost their ever loving minds.

But I fully expect at least one to be sent down, proving this leadership duo is clueless.
Re: McGreevy
How with a supposed mandate to play youth does McGreevy not start? This is the kind of (bleep) that keeps me from watching gamesrockondlouie wrote: ↑23 Mar 2025 09:00 amDitto w/VSII who better be in CF on OD.

Shows what Mo say's and what Mo does hasn't been reliable for many years.Goldfan wrote: ↑23 Mar 2025 09:05 amHow with a supposed mandate to play youth does McGreevy not start? Agree, although as someone else posted....I’d go with the trade deadline date instead of June 1st.Futuregm2 wrote: ↑23 Mar 2025 00:37 amI’d hope that by June 1st the rotation is Gray, Fedde, Pallante, McGreevy, and Mathews.hugeCardfan wrote: ↑23 Mar 2025 00:04 amI would favor a 6 man rotation and decide via performance who to back out over time. Pretty sure Matthews fits in a rotation spot as well, but feel we should let him excel in Memphis for a while.Futuregm2 wrote: ↑22 Mar 2025 23:25 pmAgreed. His opponents rating (7.5) is slightly below Fedde (8.0), Mikolas (7.7), and Gray (7.jcgmoi wrote: ↑22 Mar 2025 10:25 am I haven't seen him pitch this spring. bbref rates the quality of batters he's faced between AA and AAA but that's just a marker. Based on the quality of his work last year he deserves a spot in the rotation imo. It's not as if he'll be taking starts from anyone appreciably better.and ahead of Pallante (6.7) and Matz (7.1). I’m not sure how much stock to put into that anyways though.
But between 2024 MLB and spring training he has a 1.59 ERA and 0.71 WHIP over 39.2 IP. I’m not sure how much more he has to do to get a spot in the rotation.
Since I highly doubt either Matz or Mikolas are back next year best case scenario would see them moving them at the deadline for something.
Since 2025 is basically an “evaluation” year then a month or so is not that big of a deal.

Idiots run amok in this org
Someone convince me Miles, Matz, Pallante better than McGreevy

Re: McGreevy
I’m thinking he’s a starter and needs to to start. This is an attempt to keep him stretched out.
He will be up soon enough. The real question is- once up, does he stay up.

Re: McGreevy
I believe it was reported he'll go to Memphis as a Starter to begin the season
Re: McGreevy
It’s a shame when a roster announcement has you hoping for an injury which we know will happen sooner or later anyway.TraveledLessRoad wrote: ↑23 Mar 2025 13:24 pm I believe it was reported he'll go to Memphis as a Starter to begin the season
But when that entry happened, it needs to be McGreevy not Libby added to the rotation
Libby needs to replace Kitt as the setup man.
