Tiger's Jackson Jobe and Cards' Michael McGreevy, 2021 Draft's last best hopes

Post by craviduce »

2021 draft is likely going to go down as one of the worst 1st round drafts in the last 10-15 years, maybe more.

Jackson Jobe will likely start the year in the Tiger's rotation, and Michael McGreevy is still in contention for a Cards rotation spot to begin the season. I hope they both have good years...someone from that 1st round needs to step up.

Padres Jackson Merrill, 27th pick, and O's Colton Cowser, 5th pick need company. I hope Jobe and McGreevy join them in the success department. It's lonely for Merrill and Cowser right now.

There's a few that have made it to the bigs, but they've been bleh so far.... Wicks, Frelick, Lawlar, Lieter (he was horrendous in 6 starts last year for the Rangers)

just my opinion.

view the link of the draft. It'll blow your mind.

The Cardinals need something out of their 1st rounders.
Is Flaherty the last 1st rounder to do anything?

Gorman and Thompson have been Bleh, Perez was a bust and STUPID decision to pick, Plummer finally showed a pulse, but we lost him to Minor League FA, ...so yeah...2014 was it? Weaver 27th and Flaherty in the Compensation end of 1st round

that Cutter has helped out McGreevy round out his arsenal and make the step to the Bigs. Better movement on his 4-seamer up in the zone, too. Sinker is the best pitch, but he now has the tools to mix it up.

Keep the defense strong behind him up the middle, and he'll likely give you 3-4 WAR at least in each season

Maybe Gorman, Walker, Davis, Wetherholt , McGreevy can change the script.
And the #5 coming up.
