What's more, he was second in Selke voting that year (1999-2000).

Not bad for a fourth-round pick.
no no no... if they're not top 5 picks, they'll never amount to anything.. pay attention
I always bring up Pavel Datsyuk's draft position when people act like that.
Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Gilmour.....
Brett Hull?

Now lets do a list of top 5 picks who've never panned out...

Start with Alexander Daigle
Nail Yakupov
Patrik Stefan
Wayne McBean

But let's bank on drafting top 5 players, they're all sure things

Moved from StL to Atl in 98. Followed the Thrashers to the end [keeping a passive eye on the Blues until playoff time]. Man, that is a painful memory, I guess similar to EJ except Stefan drifted away.

Speaking of Johnson, is McBean a close acquaintance?

I believe we are all going to have fun in the coming years arguing which of Bro and Holloway are the better value of that train robbery.
+1 That's what I thought too. That's some pretty good company.

Do we have one of those beautiful offensive combos like Hull and Oates with Kyrou and Holloway blossoming?
Those 2 looked good together at Nashville.
