Cardinals spring team offensive rankings

Post by rockondlouie »

Spring stats are meaningless................unless you're bringing back almost the same lineup that struggled to hit last season too.

Spring rankings:

BA: Last
OB%: 7th from the bottom
slg%: 4th from the bottom
OPS: 4th from the bottom
Hits: Last
Runs: 4th from the bottom

I had high hopes for B. Brown but he can't turn a sows ear (sans WillyC, Hererra, Noot and Donny) into silk purses.

But they're working on stuff.......................I'm actually not overly worried or concerned because my expectations were already low

Last 7 days

Scott 0 for 10
Siani 0 for 10
Arenado 0 for 8

Good news is Gorman is 5 for 13, Herrera is 4 for 6, Baker 3 for 8, Burly 4 for 11, Noot 3 for 7

They should start trying offenses without Scott or Siani in the lineup.

You'd like to think there would be some improvement Adam but we've seen this movie before and it's as bad as it was the first time we saw it.

Guess you missed the first line:
"Spring stats are meaningless.............."

And spring stats do matter for young hitters, you kinda want to see some improvement....right?

I've heard rumblings they're afraid Noot will get hurt playing CF.

What kind of a way is that to build your lineup, out of fear?

Donny
Noot
Walker

Has to be the OF as many games as they're capable of playing if VSII continues to slide and Siani the auto "0 for 4" is the other option.

Could be Cranny.
They're giving the CF the bigger competition.

The deal will be the trickle down if that happens. I think that it give Siani a leg up as a D replacement guy.
Uncomfortable with that conclusion but if offense wins the alignment and BD gets the LF tag difficult to see differently.
and then anyone's guess, Kop? or a RHer?

Your 8 for the final 4?

No VS possible? I'd love for Helman to emerge for roster mix
and replace Siani but man he's missing a golden opportunity. They're the same hitter thus far.

I guess you’re missing the “unless” which negates that. I would rather they were all batting 1.000 but I’m not about to get my panties in a wad over the current situation.
