Can you spare some time to save lives and help strike out breast cancer? Participate in the fourth annual Spare Nothing for the Cure on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012. This family-friendly bowling event benefits breast cancer research and local breast health programs funded by the St. Louis Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.
Bowlers choose from two locations: Brunswick Zone in Chesterfield, Mo., or Flamingo Bowl in Downtown St. Louis. Each bowling alley features two sessions: 12-2 p.m. and 3-5 p.m.
The entry fee is $25 per bowler or $150 per team of six bowlers. Each registration includes two hours of unlimited bowling, shoe rental and an official event T-shirt. Plus, participants enjoy the opportunity to bid on raffle baskets and win door prizes.
Those who cannot attend but want to participate can register as a Phantom Bowler for an entry fee of $35, and the T-shirt will be mailed after the event.
During the past three years, hundreds of Spare Nothing for the Cure bowlers have helped raise more than $70,000 for the fight against breast cancer. These funds directly impact the breast health needs of local women, men and families. Seventy-five percent of the net money raised by the Komen St. Louis Affiliate stays in the St. Louis area to fund life-saving breast health screening, treatment, education and support programs. Twenty-five percent of funds raised goes toward groundbreaking breast cancer research, including research being done in St. Louis.
Join in the fight against breast cancer by bowling on Oct. 28. Visit www.komenstlouis.org to register and select a bowling location and session for the 2012 Spare Nothing for the Cure.
