The Little Bit Foundation Announces Staff Changes

ST. LOUIS, MO, Sept. 10, 2012—The Little Bit Foundation (Little Bit), a St. Louis-based nonprofit serving the needs of disadvantaged school children, has announced several changes to its full-time staff.

Sandy FitzGibbon, formerly Director of Volunteer Services and Special Events, has been named Director of Operations. In this role, she will continue to oversee volunteer recruitment, training and coordination, but now also be responsible for all operations functions. FitzGibbon became involved with Little Bit as a volunteer in 2005 before taking on a part-time role as Executive Assistant in 2009 and then a full-time position in June 2011. She has nearly 30 years experience in program and project management for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations.

Allison Reichart has joined Little Bit as Development Manager. Reichart will manage the organization’s special events and donor relationships, and along with the Executive Director, set annual fundraising goals and strategy. Prior to Little Bit, she was Development and Special Events Manager for Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis and Assistant to the Annual Fund at Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School. Reichart became involved with Little Bit as a member of the Young Professionals Board. She is a 2008 graduate of Lake Forest College in Illinois.

Finally, Stephanie Enger has been hired as Little Bit’s new Warehouse Manager. The Little Bit Foundation currently utilizes over 3,000 square feet of warehouse space, provided in kind by Color Art Integrated Interiors in Creve Coeur, MO. Enger will manage all warehouse activities, including inventory processing and tracking. She comes to Little Bit from The Kerry Group, where she served as Quality Assurance Engineer and Project Manager. Enger has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership from Maryville University.

Rosemary Hanley, Executive Director of The Little Bit Foundation, says, “I am so pleased with these appointments and the expertise each of these professionals brings to our organization as we continue to grow and reach more children in need.” Little Bit currently operates with five full-time staff members and nearly 100 volunteers.

Founded in 2001, The Little Bit Foundation (www.thelittlebitfoundation.org) serves more than 3,250 disadvantaged students in 14 St. Louis area schools. The organization’s presence in the schools, working one-on-one with each child, combined with providing necessities such as clothing, shoes and coats, creates a positive impact for personal growth, increases self-esteem and encourages a more focused, active learning environment.
