Saint Louis, MO – The Junior League of St. Louis (JLSL) is currently accepting applications for its new member class. In today’s busy world, women need the opportunity to build new skills, develop new friendships and contribute to the community. Benefits of the JLSL membership include: volunteer and leadership training, volunteer opportunities with like-minded women and community leaders, potential to serve in leadership positions, insights into community needs and the chance to make a difference in the St. Louis community.
Founded in 1914, JLSL membership draws women from the metropolitan St. Louis area. A diverse organization, the JLSL reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism
Women must be at least 21 years of age and reside within the St. Louis metropolitan area and surrounding counties. The JLSL offers one new member class per JLSL calendar year starting in September. The new member course provides education and training about the structure of JLSL and its role in the community, as well as the opportunity to participate in “hands-on” activities, fundraising events and numerous social activities throughout the year. Successful completion of the program prepares new members for active membership.
To learn more about membership and the League, the JLSL is hosting a Summer Recruitment event at its headquarters and training facility in Kirkwood. There will be appetizers, drinks and a fun evening welcoming new members. Please call 314.822.2344 or register online at www.jlsl.org.
