Big River Telephone: Great Turnout at Blood Drive
Big River Telephone would like to thank the American Red Cross and everyone that came out to participate in Big River’s blood drive. The drive took place Monday, June 4th at Big River’s Cape Girardeau office.
The blood drive was open to Big River employees and the public. The collected blood from the drive was a greater amount than their previous drive. Enough blood was donated to save the lives of many. All donors that participated were put in a regional drawing to win a Gibson guitar or guitar pick, co-branded with the Gibson and Red Cross logos, courtesy of the Gibson Foundation for their summer campaign. An American Red Cross T-shirt was also given to all participants. The need for blood right now is very high and Big River is very appreciative of everyone that was able to attend. The gift of blood is a gift of life.
“I was very pleased with the number of people that came out to donate, or at least tried to donate. Big River looks forward to making this an annual event to help the needs of the community,” said Lauren Dirnberger, Marketing Assistant for Big River Telephone. “Everyone that participated left leaving with a smile on their face, knowing that they made a difference in someone’s life. I can’t wait until next year!”
