Erica Stelling Named Mgr., Public Relations and Marketing for Susan G. Komen for the Cure St. Louis Affiliate

Erica Stelling has joined the Susan G. Komen for the Cure St. Louis Affiliate as Manager, Public Relations and Marketing, announced today by the Affiliate's Executive Director Lisa O'Brien.  Stelling joins the organization after serving as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference communications staff since July 2003.

At Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Stelling will oversee all strategic and annual communications and marketing plans for the Affiliate.  In addition, she will coordinate all media relations efforts for the organization, create and develop communication tools, provide writing and editorial services and serve as the PR liaison to the Susan G. Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure®. 

At The Valley, Stelling played an instrumental role in managing the league's public relations efforts, including all day-to-day and weekly media relations responsibilities for assigned Division I sports, including game recaps, statistical upkeep and record keeping, media guide content and design, press kits and website maintenance.   

In addition, she served in numerous capacities in special events, including media coordinator for the 2004-2007 MVC Baseball Championship and MVC Women's Basketball Tournament; Assistant Media Coordinator for the 2004 and 2007 NCAA Men's Basketball Midwest Regional and 2005 NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four.

A graduate of Illinois State University, Stelling worked for two years as Assistant Media Relations Director at Illinois State.  She served as the site administrator for the department's web page and on-line merchandise shop, and also was a creative consultant for the department's marketing and fund-raising efforts.
