Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Metro St. Louis has awarded RubinBrown LLP with the 2011 Heart and Sole Award.
The Heart and Sole Award was created in 2005 to honor Coldwell Banker Gundaker in recognition of its more than 20-year commitment to RMHC St. Louis. Each year, the nonprofit organization honors a new company that emulates Coldwell Banker Gundaker’s long-term commitment and generosity. RubinBrown partner Steve Hays recently accepted the award on behalf of the company.
“We are honored to be recognized for this prestigious award from an organization that does so much to provide comfort and care to children and their families in a time of need,” said Hays. “‘Devotion to our Community’ is a core value of RubinBrown, as we have been involved with the House and its many activities for over 20 years.”
For more than two decades, RubinBrown employees have donated an untold number of volunteer hours in support of RMHC St. Louis. Hays is a past chairman of RMHC St. Louis’ Board of Directors and RubinBrown partner Felicia Malter currently serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors. Several other RubinBrown employees serve on a number of the organization’s volunteer committees. RubinBrown employees also collect wish list items and prepare meals for families who are staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
In addition, RubinBrown supports Ronald McDonald House Charities of Metro St. Louis by supporting three of its largest fundraising events: the annual Ronald McDonald House Golf Tournament, Kids & Clays Tournament and Scramble for Charity. The company also sponsored RMHC St. Louis’ Gala of Gratitude in 2010, which celebrated the opening of the third Ronald McDonald House in St. Louis.
