The Early Childhood Development Center at New Horizon Church, located at 206 Emerling Drive in North County, will be hosting an open house on Saturday, August 18 from 1 – 3 pm. Parents and children are encouraged to attend to see the facilities and learn more about the services offered at the center.
Food and beverages will be available and Pastor B. T. Rice, Director Audrey Parks, and teacher’s assistant Brenda Williams will be on hand to answer any questions, discuss the programs, meet the families and register children for the fall session.
Open since 2010, the center’s philosophy is “Learning through Play.” The center offers customized care and educational programs for children ages six weeks to five years in the North County area just off I70 and I170, near Express Scripts and UMSL. “We have licensed and certified teachers, and our center has the capacity to care for 39 children. We also provide before and after school care with transportation to and from area schools. Our center is qualified with a webcam, which will be demonstrated at the open house. It allows parents to view the activities of their child throughout the day,” Pastor Rice said, adding, “We understand that many working parents have difficulty finding quality, convenient childcare. We also know how busy these parents are during the week, so we have selected a Saturday for our open house for interested parents, grandparents or guardians.”
The center is open from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
