Matt Holliday Celebrity Golf Classic to Benefit Pujols Family Foundation

St. Louis Cardinals left fielder and World Series champion Matt Holliday will host the Annual Pujols Family Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic on August 20, 2012 at the Country Club of St. Albans in St. Albans, Missouri. Proceeds will benefit the Pujols Family Foundation, a national organization that’s committed to helping improve the lives of families living in poverty in the Dominican Republic and raising awareness about Down syndrome.

The event is expected to feature 250 golfers and 60 celebrities in sports and entertainment. Celebrities will be teamed with foursomes made up of corporate executives and community leaders for a fun day of competition to raise money for programs like the annual medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic and Autumn Prom. An awards ceremony, dinner and auction will take place immediately following the tournament.

Celebrities that are scheduled to participate this year include musical talent NeedToBreath, Meadowlark Lemon, Aeneas Williams, Az Hakim, Roland Williams, Andy Benes, Jason Simontacchi, Rick Horton, Red Schoendinst, AL Hrabosky, as well as several team members of the World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals.
