Community Works Together to Help Single Mom, Stroke Victim with Home Makeover

Synergy Church and over 70 teens from Kansas and Tennessee will revitalize the house and property of a single mom who suffered a stroke last spring.   During the Impact project this Monday through Wednesday, Cam Compton’s house will receive a makeover including updated light fixtures, newly poured patio, fresh carpet, bright paint and more.  Several community businesses, including Sherwin Williams, Helitech, Midwest Floor Company, B-Backs Floor, Home Source Custom Homes and Commercial Source have donated time and supplies to the project.  Thanks to donated Six Flags tickets, Cam and her family will even have a chance to getaway and have a little fun while volunteers and professionals transform her home during the three days.

Cam has attended Synergy Church since its opening last August at the Des Peres Cine 14 movie theater.  Despite her health and circumstances, Cam remains faithful to her responsibilities at home, work and as a small group leader at the church.
