The Maine Conservation Corps (MCC) recently welcomed Jacob Hughes of St. Louis, MO to serve as a Team Member and AmeriCorps volunteer for the summer season.  Hughes is the son of Dave and Donna Hughes, also of St. Louis.  The MCC conducts conservation projects throughout the state of Maine, including extensive recreational trail construction and rehabilitation.  Hughes is a 2009 graduate of Saint Louis University High School and currently attends Truman State University where he is studying international business and Chinese.  This season he will serve on a crew of 3-7 members and undertake several trails projects across the state of Maine.  More information about the Maine Conservation Corps can be found at www.maine.gov/doc/parks/mcc.
