Missouri College Massage Therapy Students Offer Free Massages on Tax Day

To provide a little relief from the worries and stress of tax season, students from the Massage Therapy program at Missouri College will be offering free, 20-minute back massages to the public at Kiener Plaza Downtown on April 15 mid-day.  The participating students are in the clinical phase of their education, so they have training in massage, as well as experience performing massages.  Faculty members will also give massages.

Missouri College offers a stringent massage therapy program, requiring 812 hours of classroom time and clinical work in order to graduate; the state of Missouri only requires 500 hours.  The college also offers an associate's degree in massage therapy, with special training in shiatsu, sports massage and nutrition.

Members of the public who cannot make it downtown for the free massages can get a one-hour, full body massage for only $30 at the College's Massage Therapy Clinic at 1405 S. Hanley Road at Eager Road in Brentwood.    Seniors can get a massage for $20, and students from any college who have a college I.D. can get one for $15.  The clinic is open several days and evenings during the week. Call 314-768-7899 for an appointment.
