Warrenton, Mo. - The Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital believes mammography screenings should be available to every woman, everywhere, and is committed to providing convenient mobile mammography van screenings to women ages 40 and older who have no signs or symptoms of breast cancer. Screenings will be available by appointment at the Wal-Mart SuperCenter at 500 Warren County Center in Warrenton, Mo., Jan. 9, 2008, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Mammograms will be performed in approximately 30 minutes by trained female technologists using state-of-the-art digital equipment certified by the Food and Drug Administration. Images are interpreted by physicians from the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine. Participants should check with their insurance company regarding coverage and bring their insurance cards with them.
