About New Life Empowerment Center
Pastor Christopher D. Collier founded New Life Empowerment Center in September 2011. Pastor Collier devotes himself to making a positive and spiritual difference in the lives of families within the community and help build confident, and caring Christians within the body of Christ. It is also his mission to foster the growth of the kingdom of God within the St. Louis community through ministry outreach, one-on-one evangelism, and committed discipleship.
New Life Empowerment Center is a spirit-filled and innovative church focused on bringing Christians of varying ethnic groups, ages and backgrounds together in unity. They began with 32 covenant members in September 2011 and have grown to over 200 covenant members in less than 1 year. The church has over 15 working ministries that serve the needs of the people and the community of St. Louis. Since its establishment New Life Empowerment Center has given back to the community through several events such as the Trunk or Treat, Nike/Bike Christmas Giveaway, Food & Coat Drive, and its 1st Annual Community Block Party.
Trunk or Treat brought in over 250 people from the community to fellowship with the NLEC family at the Redman Recreational Center. The church was able to give away 50 brand new Nike shoes, 17 bikes, and numerous toys to kids from the community at the Nike/Bike Giveaway. The Food & Coat Drive provided over 35 families with food and clothes for the 2011 winter season. The church hosted its 1st Annual Community Block Party, August 24th that featured live music, free food, St. Louis County D.A.R.E. car, face painting, prizes, giveaways and much more. This event fed close to 375 people for free.
