Podiatrist-run Pedicure Spa Reinvents Industry Standards; First in Area with Certified Medical Nail Technicians

St. Louis, MO (April 11, 2012) – CleanSpa Pure Pedicure, a new concept in nail care services, announces its grand opening this month in the Chesterfield Valley. Clean Spa combines a professional nail salon experience with expert medical knowledge in a pure setting.  Offering a variety of pedicure and nail treatments and therapies, CleanSpa uses advanced sterilization techniques and environmentally-friendly products. 

Dr. Michael Horwitz, podiatrist and foot surgeon, launched the first CleanSpa in St. Louis after seeing the need in the market for a Spa dedicated to the health, as well as the appearance, of the hands and feet. Dr. Horwitz said, “CleanSpa blends the pampering experience of going to the spa along with a medically-based approach in a clean, safe environment.  All services are performed by Certified Medical Nail Technicians (MNT’s) or therapists, using only the most sterile equipment and techniques.” Podiatrists and other foot specialists are also available to provide on-site care.

At CleanSpa, manicure tables are equipped with a proprietary built-in ventilation system that vacuums dust before it escapes into the air.  Pedicure tubs and instruments are cleaned with compressed steam or gas for ultimate sterilization. Surfaces are scanned with a special Woods Lamp to detect any traces of fungus or impurities.  Clients can even purchase their own tool sets to be kept at the spa for use only by them.

Nail and therapeutic services are  unique, offering clients new experiences such as Thai Reflexology, the Pure Pedicure that is hypo-allergenic and the Foot Rescue that offers relief after taxing activities. CleanSpa also offers affordable on-site laser treatment for fungal nail infections and other foot conditions.
