Smileology Dental/Synergy Therapeutics to Open New Craniofacial Medical Treatment Center in Columbia, Illinois

 Dr. Angie Tenholder of Millstadt, IL, will be expanding her current Smileology Dental/Synergy Therapeutics practice to include a new medical/dental treatment center in Columbia, IL.

Smileology Dental/Synergy Therapeutics is expecting to open their new Synergy Therapeutics Treatment Center in August. Synergy Therapeutics is a state of the art and cutting edge approach to integrated healthcare using dental appliances and modalities to enhance overall systemic health.

 The new office, currently undergoing extensive remodeling, will be at 106 Veterans Parkway. The office space will be a perfect location for her Synergy patients that travel from multiple states to visit her Millstadt location. Close to the highway, Columbia offers not only convenience in travel, but comfortable lodging accommodations as well.

Dr. Angie Tenholder is a pioneer in the treatment of craniofacial pain and temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ). She utilizes orthodontics, dental orthopedics, cranial dentistry, and sports dentistry in the treatment of TMJ and craniofacial pain. She works closely with a highly trained pediatric sports medicine physician, sleep medicine physicians, physical therapists, medical massage therapists and a neurologically trained optometrist in alliance with her specialized knowledge of the most recent advances in the treatment of movement and tic disorders including Parkinson’s disease, Tourette’s and gait disorders. She is trained in the use of exceptionally high level diagnostic and therapeutic equipment to aid in the treatment of headaches and migraines. Dr. Tenholder is trained in treatment of not only sports dentistry and treatment of trauma, but in the fabrication of performance enhancing and protective mouthguards similar to what the professional athletes use to gain an edge over their competitors and prevent concussions. We also assist patients in the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea as well as pediatric orofacial and airway assessment, growth and development. Dr. Tenholder’s advanced knowledge allows her to provide treatment to patients that would otherwise be unavailable to them in this area.

 Dr. Tenholder was born and raised in Millstadt where she continues to raise her family. She has been practicing dentistry since 1994 and belongs to the following organizations:

American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy For Sports Dentistry, American Academy of Gnathologic Orthopedics, Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.
