FENTON, MO - December 18, 2007 - The National Association of Credit Management, Gateway Region, announces its event schedule for the first four months of 2008.
The first event is a Bond and Lien Seminar on Jan. 22. This half-day seminar, starting at 8:30 am, will be conducted by Greg Pawelson, President, NACM's Mechanics Lien & Bond Services, and will be held at the Missouri Society of CPAs Learning Center, 540 Maryville Centre Drive St. Louis, MO 63141. An attendee at Greg's Lien Seminar is presented with the most current information in order to design, plan and enhance the usage of Mechanics' Liens and Bond Claims. He teaches strategies that will guard against the construction debtor's number one objection to payment: "I CAN'T PAY YOU UNTIL I GET PAID." On Feb. 15, NACM will host its first Annual Trivia Night, to benefit the Gateway Region's educational programs and the Credit and Financial Development Division. The event will be held at Orlando Gardens, 8352 Watson Rd, and starts at 7:00 p.m. The cost is $200 for a table of 10 -- which includes all the beer, wine and soda you can drink. Bring your own food. On March 20, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in St. Charles, NACM, in association with Strategic Negotiations International, will present America's Business Coach Barry Elms in a full-day seminar on Advanced Collections and Negotiations Skills. Topics to be explored include:
How to deal with unauthorized deductions; How to negotiate with customers who have severe cash flow problems; How to manage conflict with tough customers; and How to improve the payment habits of your big-spending major customers.
