St. Louis, Missouri – Greenleaf Capital Partners, LLC, a newly formed merchant banking firm, is pleased to announce that Andy Spann has joined the firm as a Principal.
“Andy’s experience in investment banking, business ownership, and management will be invaluable as we work together to build Greenleaf Capital Partners,” said Chip Smith, Greenleaf’s founding Principal.

Spann was Vice President-Investment Banking at A. G. Edwards & Sons from 1985 to 1990. He was President of Spann Building Maintenance Company from 1990 to 2000 and President of Professional Employment Group from 2002 to 2011. In 2002, he and partners organized Mount Carmel Communities, a successful senior living development in St. Charles, Missouri. Mount Carmel was recently granted zoning approval from The City of St. Charles to expand its facilities from 110 to 180 beds. Since 2011, Spann has been directly involved in management at Hercules Window Cleaning Company, a company owned by his family. “I plan to transition from my day to day role at Hercules by the end of 2012, and I have been working hard to develop my successor in preparation for this move.”
