SWANSEA, IL– Illinois Title and Escrow LLC, a new title and escrow company handling commercial and residential real estate transactions, and providing full closing services, has opened new offices at 201 West Pointe Drive in Swansea, IL (62226). The announcement was made by Maureen A. Donaho, an Illinois attorney who is manager and principal of the new firm.
“We are excited to be able to provide a high level of personalized service to our customers,” said Donaho. “Title work sometimes is a bit of an enigma to buyers and sellers, but it’s an essential part of any real estate transaction. Our job is to identify any potential problems and to ensure that buyers have full and clear title to any property they are purchasing.”
Donaho also has added two new employees – Cheryl Barham has been named escrow officer and Jessica A. Ledbetter has been named title officer.
“We have an experienced and dedicated team which is devoted to high-quality title and closing work. Our goal is to provide excellent customer service and a quality product.”
Donaho, who graduated in 1991 from the Southern Illinois University School of Law, has two decades of experience providing legal counsel and working on real estate contracts, leases, deeds, easements and other agreements. She also has closed and coordinated both residential and complex mufti-million dollar and multi-site transactions, from the placement of title orders to the examination, closing, recording and issuance of policies. For 20 years, she served as in-house counsel/manager for Chicago Title Company, LLC. She is an affiliate director of the Greater Gateway Association of Realtors Board of Directors, and has served on the affiliate Committee of the Realtor Association of Southwestern Illinois. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Illinois.
Cheryl Barham has over six years of experience supporting customers and lending institutions in the preparation and closing of commercial and residential real estate transactions. She began her career in accounting/auditing at FKG Oil Co. and then became a closer with Monical Enterprises LLC. For the past seven years, she has served as an escrow officer with Chicago Title Insurance Co. She also has been an active member of the RPAC committee of the Realtor Association of Southwestern Illinois.
Jessica Ledbetter also joins Illinois Title and Escrow from Chicago Title Insurance Co. where she has served as a customer service specialist since 2006. She was an integral part of the title production system at Chicago Title and is looking forward to continuing her work at ITE.
