St. Peters, Mo. - Women often face different communica
tion challenges than men, which is the focus of the Business Boost training seminar by the Economic Development Center of St. Charles County, "Assertive Communication Skills for Women" presented by Erin Cox of St. Charles Community College Thursday, April 24, at the Economic Development Center, 5988 Mid Rivers Mall Drive.
Sign-in and networking for this 90-minute extreme training seminar especially geared for women, begins at 10 a.m. Instruction starts at 10:30 a.m. and will conclude by noon. The instructor will be St. Charles County's own Erin Cox, a certified St. Charles Community College trainer, O'Fallon resident and public relations graduate of Missouri State University at Springfield.
Attendees will learn the difference between passive, assertive and aggressive behavior, how to make decisions without fear or regret, and how to ask for what they want. Putting the concepts from this training in place will help women avoid common communication mistakes, and remain consistenly assertive with difficult people.
The general public is welcome and admission is $40 per person. Alliance members may attend the 90-minute seminar for $25. Advance registration is required and going on now.
