St. Peters, Mo. (March 1, 2013) - Technology provider Software To Go is celebrating its 30th year of providing technology products.  The milestone will be marked with sales events and giveaways in addition to a “timeline wall” which has been installed in the showroom. The firm also has updated it’s online Computer Museum which spotlights some of the vintage computing equipment showcased at the company’s office.   

The firm provides computer hardware, software, peripherals and provides consulting and ongoing repair and maintenance services to clients in 46 states from its location in St. Peters, Mo. The firm moved to St. Peters in 2006 after being based in Clayton since its’ founding in 1983.   

Software To Go President,  Joe Balsarotti stated, “To any small business 30 years is quite a milestone, but in the computer industry, we have truly been blessed with wonderful clients, many who have been with us for decades and a great staff, who know how to rise to any challenge.” He continued, “we started by selling software for Apple IIs, Commodores and Ataris. The IBM was brand new at that time. We changed as the technology did and added equipment to our offerings to allow us to provide complete technology solutions to our clients that led to consulting, maintenance programs and now, managed services for our customers.”

Software To Go was spotlighted in a speech by President George W. Bush in 2003 and Dan Jones, service engineer for the firm, was an invited guest of the First Lady for the 2007 State of the Union speech.  The company has won numerous awards including, “Best Customer Service” in 2009, “Top 20 under 20 Employees” in 2010  and Joe Balsarotti was the recipient of the National Federation of Independent Business’ Small Business Champion Award in 2005.
