Sisters of Hope, Inc. 2nd Annual Bold, Confident Women & Girls Expo
Oct. 27 Doors Open 11:00 a.m. at MO History Museum
ST. LOUIS, MO (October 5, 2012)— For one day only, 20+ local business owners will trade best business practices, showcase and sell products and services, and share pathways to success. Also, area nonprofit organizations will be providing informational pamphlets at the Bold, Confident Women and Girls (BCWG) Expo from 11 to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27 at the MO History Museum in Forest Park.
The expo, presented by Sisters of Hope, Inc. (SOH), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on the personal and social development of girls and women of all ages, will feature exhibits, workshops, fashion show, live entertainment, guest speakers, and more.
“Sisters of Hope, Inc. believes that an investment in our youth is an investment in our future,” said SOH President and Co-Founder, Rainie Howard. The BCWG Expo, like the organization’s mission and programs, will target the personal, professional, and social aspects of a girl’s and a woman’s life to ensure that attendees are exposed to the resources and tools necessary for a balanced, healthy and successful existence.
Most of the business owners present at the BCWG Expo are women. “Women business owners are successful, because they have mastered how to balance their personal and professional endeavors,” said Howard. “The Bold, Confident Women and Girls Expo will empower girls and women to prioritize their goals and reorganize their individual success plans while having fun with family and friends.”
The Bold, Confident Women and Girls Expo is a family-friendly event. Admission is free and attendance prizes will be available. Some vendors and presenters include Susan G. Komen, Robert Govero for Hair, Next Chapter Education Consulting, Mary Jane’s, True Light Home Healthcare, and more.
