MCASTA Panel Seeks To Address Emotional Health
One facet of human health that is often not discussed or addressed – given its taboo undertone – is Emotional Health. On Saturday September 7 at UMSL, the Midwest Chinese American Science & Technology Association (MCASTA) will be hosting its 30th Annual Symposium. Among the many seminars and discussions on that day, MCASTA – under the leadership of moderator Dr. Stephen Wu – will be hosting a panel discussion to address the many aspects of Emotional Health.
The panel will include many notable professionals including Dr. Hsin Hsin Huang, assistant professor in the Department of Social Work at Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville; Mr. Tai Wong, licensed professional counselor with the Agape Christian Counseling Center; Ms. Lip Tong Chua, licensed clinical social worker; Dr. Patricia Lee, licensed professional counselor with Friendship Village for Elderly; and Ms. An Wu, licensed professional counselor. The panel discussion will provide the community the opportunity to ask questions and address concerns with the hope that folks in the community can recognize, develop and use a personal strategy for enhancing emotional health despite challenging life experiences.
Everyone is welcome to attend. All seminars and presentations will be conducted in English. Please register at http://www.mcasta.org/.
