Celebrity Designer Indashio to Headline St. Charles Fashion Week
The Greater St. Charles Fashion Week returns to Ameristar Casino Resort Spa for its 4th year on August 22-25. More than 1600 people attended last year. This year’s event features more than 25 designers and boutiques from St. Louis, Chicago and New York. Celebrity Designer Indashio, winner of VH1’s ‘Glam God’ and stylist to the stars, will bring his edgy designs and larger-than-life personality to St. Charles. He will co-host Friday’s show in the Conference Center and headline Saturday’s show at the ‘poolside’ Event Lawn. Indashio’s work is featured regularly on the runways at New York Fashion Week and around the world. His work has appeared in People Magazine, Elle, OK! Magazine and other publications. Indashio will be trailed by a major cable network that is currently shooting an episode for a reality show starring Indashio. That episode is scheduled to air in December.
For the first time ever, St. Charles Fashion Week will celebrate plus size women with a 15 minute ‘Spotlight Show’ featuring professional plus-size models. It will take place on Wednesday, August 22nd in a special segment that will celebrate real women with real curves.
Highlights also include boutique shopping each night before the runway show, delicious foods and complimentary wine tasting by Stone Hill Winery. One attendee will win an all-inclusive to trip to the Valentin Imperial Maya Resort in Mexico, courtesy of Five Star Travel and Cruises and Funjet Vacations.
This year’s emcees are KPLR 11 News Anchor/ Reporter Melanie Moon, Fox 2 News Anchor/ Reporter Angie Mock, KMOV Traffic Reporter Sande Stevenson and Radio Host Kelley Lamm. All are featured on the cover of the upcoming Fall Issue of StreetScape Magazine which hits newsstands on August 19.
