Boulevard Bob's '47 Oktoberfest

This beer gets its name from brewery friend Bob Werkowitch, a master brewer and 1947 graduate of the U.S. Brewer’s Academy. Kansas City’s Boulevard Brewing Co. recommends pairing this Oktoberfest with roasted chicken or pork and cheeses such as Swiss or asiago. To me, it tastes like roasted carrots: not a flavor I’m looking for in beer.
