Jim Haslett: Hey Gordo,
When I get back to St. Louis, can you give me a hand packing the stuff in my office at Rams Park? I already have my defensive playbook packed- it's folded up and in my back pocket- but I am a packrat oherwise.
Jeff Gordon: Rim shot!
whowadat: Hey Gordo, any free agent safeties out there that spark your interest ?
Jeff Gordon: Don't know which players will actually hit the market yet. Why would the Ravens let a guy like Dawan Landry get away, for instance.
dominic zappia: Hey Jeff:
Happy New Year!
Let the fun begin for our Rams.My take,we have the 2nd pick and we should trade down to get our tackle and another player. We had the same opportunity last year to trade down but instead chose Chris Long.Is he a difference maker? Is he better than 2 players Billy Devaney would have drafted? No he isnt! Trade down and yes their will be a trade partner, there always is.Your thoughts?
Jeff Gordon: Long's a pretty good player, better than some of the guys the Rams could have gotten by trading down. This season does present a trade-down opportunity, since there is depth at a key position (tackle) and the Rams have more needs than ever.
OJ Atogwe: Hey Gordo,
Someone mentioned that as a free safety, I have to play the run too and I laughed. What's up with that kind of crazy talk? All I know is that the occasional interception on an overthrown/underthrown pass has gotten Rams fans to forget about my reluctance to hit anyone or my stunning ability to forget my assignments during games. GO Rams!!!
Jeff Gordon: Gotta work on your tackling angles . . .
Woodstock: Well, the season is over. Time to now watch the search for a new coach and evaluate the candidates. Then second guess whoever the Rams hire. Then evaluate the people they add to their staff. Second guess them. Then free agency and the draft. Also any fires/hires in the front office staff. The Rams beat goes on as we watch all the other teams in the playoffs and Super Bowl. So much to do, so little time!!
Thanks for your time this year! On to next year!!
Jeff Gordon: Hopefully the offseason will be more exciting than the actual season.
