David Carriger: Just when you think Larry Marmie might be the worst co-ordinator to work in St.Louis...along comes Olson.I think Linehan better return to calling plays in these last 13 games of his coaching career in St. Louis.Your thoughts?
Jeff Gordon: That could be one of the changes designed to turn this thing around, yes.
Mike: Gordo, in your response to Ronnie Mason you indicated the talk of poor character on the defense is unwarranted since the game was out of hand when they quit. Are you saying that if they quit after the score is insurmountable then their character is unphased? I agree with Mr. Mason. There is no excuse for that weak effort in the 4th quarter even if the score is out of hand.
Jeff Gordon: Also consider that the other side, playing at home, gets revved up wiht the lead. We'd like to think a team is tough enough to go on the road and hold the fort in a hopeless situation -- relying on their pride -- but that is asking a lot of fromm a unit lacking big hitters at LB and safety.
Ben: Any clue as to how many times we have attempted to throw the ball over 10 yrds this year? I don't have an official number but man it sure seems like they don't even attempt to get downfield.
Jeff Gordon: The percentage isn't high enough. Defenses will bunch up on teams unwilling to throw the ball downfield.
Dan: After watching the first 3 weeks of the season, what is you honest opinion on the Rams record at the end of the season?
Jeff Gordon: Good question. I can't see them doing better than 5-11, barring major changes.
t dog: The problem is the play calling. They said they were going to stick to the run no matter what! Sounds like the coaches did not care whether it was working or not. It was working but you cannot run every play. One pass all game looked good, a slant pattern to holt. Besides that all they did was run and short passes. Don[t you think the coaches loss this game before it began?
Jeff Gordon: No, but clearly they didn't make adjustments that were needed. That has been a consistent issue all year.
