Beginning Sept. 7, KTVI (Channel 2) will add another hour of news on weekday mornings. The 9-10 a.m. extension of ” Fox 2 News in the Morning” will replaced the canceled “Morning Show With Mike & Juliet.”

Another addition, also Sept. 7, is “The Wendy Williams Show,” which will air at 1 p.m. weekdays. “A mother and wife with a tremendously successful career as a radio personality and author, Williams first made a name for herself by using her ‘big mouth’ on the radio where she has spent 23 years, 16 of them spent on the air in New York City, winning over legions of fans,” the show’s website says. Executive producer of “The Wendy Williams Show,” which has been airing in some markets since July, is Mascoutah native Rob Dauber, a veteran of “The Rosie O’Donnell Show.”

At 6:30 p.m. Mondays beginning Sept. 14, sports director Martin Kilcoyne hosts “Rams Weekly.”

At 6:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and midnight Mondays, KTVI adds the new syndicated, half-hour version of “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” Jeff Foxworthy is host of the show, which debuts Sept. 21. ”Seinfeld” moves to 11:35 p.m., where it will pair with “The Office” at 11:05, all as of Sept. 21. Explaining the “Seinfeld” move, KTVI general manager Spencer Koch said the comedy “has been a great workhouse for Fox 2 the last eight years, so we’ll continue to run that program in the late-night period. ‘5th Grader’ will give our viewers a family alternative at 6:30 p.m.”

I am disappointed that the Morning Show with Mike and Juliet was cancelled. I looked forward to this very entertaining variety morning show. I am tired of the Judge Series and the news. Please bring them back.

You will find TMZ at 10:30, the Office at 11 and Seinfeld at 1130. Can’t speak for TMZ but the Office and Seinfeld back to back will be great!

This year, I hope and pray KTVI moves TMZ and Access Hollywood to the midnight/12:30 a.m. slots, where they should have been in the first place.

Come on, TMZ is just name-calling newsless garbage 98 percent of the time. It’s pointless. If you want that kind of crap, go to their website. And Access Hollywood? Don’t get me laughing! It’s just like every other celebrity “news” programs on the air-NOTHING SPECIAL.

Having The Office and Seinfeld come after the 10 p.m. news would be a classy move for KTVI, but I’m not holding my breath. They seem content to drag in the Lowest Common Demoninator audience TMZ and Access Hollywood draws. That’s why I either turn off the TV or go somewhere else for my late night viewing.

I’m not sure the ratings for all the networks, but Ellen is on at the 1 p.m. time slot on KSDK. And, she has a strong following. I think Williams will have a tough time beating out Ellen?

Why doesn’t KTVI just go all news all day…they are practically there already!

Absolutely nothing in there worth tuning in for. Over-the-air television is becoming a wasteland.

When you look up “Hot Mess” in the dictionary, they have the same picture of Wendy Williams that you have used.

As long as it isn’t “Fox and Fiends”. Anything is better than that!
