Lucas School House's final flier

Of all the New Year’s Eve parties and events I could talk up in this space, I’ve decided to highlight the one at Lucas School House, and not because I think the flier is so groovy.

The Jake’s Leg concert is the last concert at Lucas School House, one of my favorite venues the last two years. I’m sorry to see it go.

Also on the bill for the New Year’s Eve party is Naked Groove.

Tickets are only $15, and doors are at 8 tonight, with several drink package specials available.

Get more information at www.lucasevents.com, while you still can.

I’ll be shakin’ my bones to Jake’s Leg and Naked Groove tonight. I can’t wait to get my hands on the poster of the final show at the Lucas School House. I saw some amazing shows at the venue. All six shows by the New Riders of the Purple Sage is my highlight of the venue. I’m going to miss the venue very much.

This is sad and depressing…although Lucas wasn’t around for a long period of time, another small music/concert venue bites the dust…What’s wrong with the local music scene and these venues people? Let’s fix it.

i agree it is a wonderful venue, maybe it would have stayed open if they would have booked some decent bands. They had a few last year and very early this year ..but since then it has been only lame jam band crap a la jakes leg.

LOL…ok, I agree that it is a “groovy” flier, however I never thought I would come across this word in something that was written by Kevin! Your vocabulary never cease to amaze me…LOL. Have a great New Year’s Eve Mr. Johnson! I look forward to more of your blog in 2009!
