The flavorful sampling and driving beats of Brooklyn’s Ratatat seem to beg for an MC. Listening to tracks off their new album, “LP3” (XL Recordings), I find myself reaching for the stereo balance to check if I’m missing the rapper.

No matter, Ratatat should keep everyone bobbing and weaving this Saturday at Washington University’s Gargoyle. Mike Stroud will lay down sporadic guitar parts while Evan Mast will handle the synthesizer drivers. The ever-touring duo has jetted all over the world playing with acts such as Björk, Daft Punk, Interpol, Franz Ferdinand, CSS and The Killers. They’ll tour France in November, where I imagine they kill in the clubs.
