tra.jpgThe family-friendly Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, featuring a mom, pop and their 14-year-old daughter on drums, bring their colorful show to town tonight. Thought they have played the Mad Art Gallery in the past, tonight’s show will be at the normally un-family-friendly Bluebird club.

The New York group, which bills itself as an “indie-vaudeville conceptual art-rock pop band,” performs while thrift store-acquired slides are flashed on a screen behind them.

Sing-songy, theatrical Indianapolis band Everthus the Deadbeats is also on the bill. You can also catch the Deadbeats perform tonight at 5 pm for free at Vintage Vinyl, where they’ll be promoting their new album, “John Kill & the Microscopic Lullaby.”
