Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder — briefly a candidate for the state’s top job — reported a healthy financial quarter today, raising $468,000 since January.
The bulk of Kinder’s support came from Republican legislative committees, which, under state law, can donate more than companies or individuals.
Kinder’s individual supporters, however, include iceman Dave Checketts, the sports executive who bought the St. Louis Blues in 2005. He gave Kinder a check for $1,350.
The report also shows that Kinder spent about $102,000 this quarter, some of which, apparently, was used to repair a campaign vehicle.
Kinder lists spending $179 on “truck repairs,” and another $589 at Big O Tires in Jefferson City.
In addition to some new treads, Kinder could also have used a City Hall organizational chart.
Kinder recorded a donation from city development czarina Barb Geisman. Although Geisman has worked closely with Kinder in his role as head of the Missouri Development Finance Board, Kinder’s report lists her as an employee of the downtown law firm Lashly and Baer.

Sometime you have a good day and sometime you have a bad day. What can I say, yesterday was a bad day.
Genius, Blues=Checketts the STL BLUES OWNER

I don’t understand your headline Jake. Kinder rasied 3x Page’s amount and yet he has the blues? What gives? You haven’t been mugged by Tony now have you? I expect that kind of bias in his headlines and reporting (ala Hulshof and campaign finance limits).
